Alberto Blasco is the partner in charge of the Labor and Employment Law Department of Garrigues in Barcelona.
He supervises both the provision of ongoing advisory services and particularly complex labor proceedings. His functions include the provision of strategic advice on labor law matters and senior management relationships to corporate HR managers. He also has extensive experience in collective bargaining and in corporate restructuring processes.

Collective bargaining: he actively assists and supports clients in the design and preparation of the negotiation process, during the negotiation process itself, and in relation to the agreement reached and its formalization (collective labor agreements, restructuring processes, collective layoffs, suspension of contracts, material modifications to individual and collective working conditions).

Academic background
Lawyer. Law Degree from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and Universidad Internacional de Cataluña (UIC).
Teaching activity
He is an associate lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining at Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA) and Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF). Regular speaker at seminars and conferences.
Memberships
Member of the Spanish Forum for Labor Lawyers (FORELAB) and the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA).
Distinctions
He is featured in several prestigious domestic and international legal directories, including Best Lawyers, where he was selected as “Lawyer of the Year 2021”, and the Chambers Europe Guide, which recognized him as a leading business law practitioner. Both directories also rank Garrigues as a leading labor law firm in Spain.
