Francisco Lavandera is a partner in the Tax Department. He joined Garrigues in September 2000 and has pursued his professional career at the firm since then.
He specializes in international taxation, providing tax advice to Spanish business groups in processes for their internationalization, as well as to foreign investors, both industrial and financial, on setting up for business or investing in Spain. He has participated in numerous M&A transactions and has advised foreign financial institutions and funds in the analysis of the tax aspects of their investments in Spain. He provides recurring tax advice to multinational groups with presence in Spain and to Spanish family-run businesses in the context of their business activities.
He is a lecturer in international taxation on different Master’s Degrees ("AGT" and "MUA") at ESADE.

Francisco Lavandera joined Garrigues in September 2000 and was promoted to partner in 2014.
He specializes in international taxation, providing tax advice to Spanish business groups in processes for their internationalization, as well as to foreign investors, both industrial and financial, on setting up for business or investing in Spain.
He has participated in numerous M&A transactions and has advised foreign financial institutions and funds in the analysis of the tax aspects of their investments in Spain, especially in the real estate sector. He has taken part in refinancing and restructuring transactions of businesses owning Spanish-based assets.
He provides recurring tax advice to multinational groups with presence in Spain and to Spanish family-run businesses in the context of their business activities.

- LL.M. in Taxation, Instituto de Empresa (Madrid).
Teaching activity
Francisco is a lecturer in international taxation on different Master’s Degrees ("AGT" and "MUA") at ESADE as well as in the Master in Tax Advisory organized by the Catalonia Economists Association (Colegio de Economistas de Cataluña).
