Jorge Fuentes is a principal associate in the Corporate Law Department of Garrigues, where he practices in the areas of corporate law, banking and finance, projects, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, real estate law and insolvency law. He advises financial institutions, funds, sponsors and businesses on the structuring of a wide range of transactions, including corporate finance, acquisition finance and project finance, local and international issues of securities, and M&A deals. He has extensive experience in the financial, real estate, infrastructure, energy and gas sectors, where he has participated in diverse projects. Before joining Garrigues, he worked in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. During 2019 he was based at the Garrigues offices in Madrid. He has been consistently recognized for his work by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR1000, among other prestigious publications. Jorge graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and is a member of the Lima Bar Association.
