José Manuel has been a partner in the employment law department of Garrigues since 2006, the Law Firm where he has developed his professional career. Within labour law, he specialises in providing strategic advice on labour and employment law and HR matters to senior management and HR managers.

He is a member of various internal groups or industries at Garrigues: Banking and Financial Institutions, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sports & Entertainment.

He is also an expert in managing and advising on the labour law aspects of national and international corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions, outsourcing, etc.) and the processes arising from them: reorganisations and restructurings, company succession, harmonisation of collective conditions, hiring of senior executives, etc., especially for private equity firms, investment funds, etc., as well as the international law firms involved in the processes. In recent years he has advised on an average of 15-20 transactions of this type per year.

He is also a regular and recurring advisor to companies in a wide range of sectors (banking, communications and advertising, publishing, technology, industry and sports). Among the companies that he regularly advises are Amazon, Telefónica, Real Madrid, Thomson Reuters, Singular Bank, etc.

He is also an advisor or collaborator of several of the main international entities and business guides (World Bank, World Justice Project).

José Manuel is included in reference directories in the legal world, such as Chambers, Who's Who and Best Lawyers, in which he has appeared continuously over the last few years.

He advises clients in both Spanish and English.

Degree in Business Law from Universidad Complutense y San pablo-CEU.

He is a lecturer on Executive Programmes and specialised masters' programmes at Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences at the Firm and at various specialised centres.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Spanish Forum of Labour Lawyers (FORELAB).
