Marta has carried out her professional work at the Garrigues law firm since 1997, beginning in the Alicante office and, one year later, developing the Litigation practice in the Murcia office, where she is responsible for the Litigation area. She is specialized in corporate and contractual conflict procedures and bankruptcy proceedings. She has a Law Degree from the University of Murcia and has been a member of the Murcia Bar Association since 1998.
Experience
Marta has pursued her professional career at Garrigues since 1997, starting out at the Alicante office before moving on a year later to develop the litigation practice at the Murcia office, where she heads up the litigation practice area.
She specializes in corporate procedures and contractual disputes, as well as leading restructuring and insolvency proceedings.
She has acted as legal counsel in corporate dispute proceedings (challenging corporate resolutions, termination of pooling arrangements, compliance with side agreements, etc.) at family businesses in the farming, livestock, confection and footwear industries.
Elsewhere, she advises on insolvencies at companies in industries as diverse as construction and real estate development, fish farming and agriculture.
Academic background
Degree in Law from Universidad de Murcia.
Teaching activity
She has taught classes on the liability of directors at insolvent companies as part of the Master’s Degree in Legal Counseling at FUNDESEM in Alicante.
She has spoken at various conferences staged by the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce on the liability of directors under insolvency proceedings, as well as on insolvency-related matters at the Murcia Chamber of Commerce.
She has taken part in joint seminars with other institutions, including private banks and consultancies, on managing nonpayment.

Marta is a member of the Murcia Bar Association.
