He has over 20 years’ professional experience advising companies and institutional investors, both national and foreign, on matters relation to corporate law, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital and real estate. Before joining Garrigues, he worked at PLMJ, as partner of the Corporate / M&A area.
Tomás Pessanha is frequently mentioned in various directories, such as Chambers & Partners; The Legal 500; IFLR1000; Best Lawyers and Who’s Who Legal. In 2009, his name appeared in the 40 under Forty Awards of Iberian Lawyer.
He has also acted as guest lecturer on several postgraduate courses at the Porto Business School.
